The Instructor
Alex began his martial arts journey in 1975 with karate, before expanding into judo, wrestling and weight training. That foundation — built over decades — has been shaped by an equally distinguished career in security, law enforcement and military training.
At Point Blank, Alex teaches Filipino Martial Arts — the weapons-based system of Kali and Escrima covering sticks, knives and empty-hand combat with complete interchangeability between all three.
Use of Force Training
The PPCT (Pressure Point Control Tactics) System has been a leader in use-of-force training for over 30 years and is used worldwide — Alex has taught it since 1994. It's the only use-of-force system that backs its techniques with courtroom support and a solid foundation of legal, medical and tactical research.
